The Holocaust

  •  between 1933 and 1945, two thirds of all the Jews in Europe were killed by the Nazis
  • many victims were transported to concentration camps by train and murdered with poison gas on arrival
  • others perished from deplorable conditions in the camps (disease, exhaustion, and starvation)
